Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;"

No one is good enough to go to heaven on his own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still fall short because we're sinners.

Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death..."

​

Just like you earn wages for a job, committing sin earns death, which is eternal punishment in hell.

Romans 5:12 "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

Since the failure of the first man, Adam, a sin nature has been passed down to every man that has ever lived.

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Christ's great love for us was shown when He died on the cross to pay our sin debt. No one has to pay the wages for their sins if they'll simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Corinthians 15:3-4 "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;...he was buried, and that he rose again the third day..."

Not only did Jesus die, but he also rose from the dead and is alive today to offer anyone who believes in Him salvation which is everlasting life.

Romans 6:23b "But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

 

Everlasting life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith.

Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If you will believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for your sins and will simply confess that, by prayer, you can be saved.
